Anniversary Climb: Mt Garfield

It only seemed appropriate that John and I climb a mountain for our 10-year anniversary. We camped in a 2-man tent in Rocky Moutain National Park during a terrible storm for our first and climbed a 14-er for our third so an ourdoor undertaking was past overdo. Although we were told Mt. Garfield would be a 45 minute hike, we realized after arriving at the base that a 2,000 foot ascent in 2 miles would take us much longer. 2 hours later, we exchanged some romantic words ("Babe, you look hot all red-faced and sweaty. Literally."), ate our granola bars, and snapped a few shots to share with you...

July 4th in the Mountains

We went to the cabin over the 4th of July with my folks and our good friends, the Wagner's. It was freezing in Lake City for the fireworks display. Literally, the minute the show started, the heavens opened up and it poured. A memorable holiday, for sure.

Farewell! It's Been Fun

On our last visit to the beach to say our farewells, a giant sand crab washed up on shore. Much to our delight, he was alive and pinching, and he stuck around to pose for some pictures attracting quite a crowd.
